GUILDFORD the thriving and cosmopolitan County town of Surrey steeped in history and boasting a comprehensive range of excellent shops, department stores and an abundance of cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes. For the cultured, the Yvonne Arnaud and the Electric Theatres are superb together with a comprehensive range of sports and leisure facilities provided at the Spectrum Leisure Centre. There are plentiful places of interest to visit, splendid walks and the River Wey runs through the centre of Guildford where you can hire a boat for the day.

Public transport services are excellent and for the commuter, the main Portsmouth to London line provides a fast link to London Waterloo (approx. 35 minutes). Guildford is just off the A3 corridor, only minutes from the M25 motorway (J10), giving easy access to central London, Heathrow and Gatwick International Airports. The area is extremely well served with numerous first rate independent and state schools for all ages.

CRANLEIGH lays claim for being the largest village in England with an estimated population of 14,000 and a variety of modern amenities which blend well with the older style of the village and its rural setting. Having prospered as a satellite of Guildford, it is an excellent retail centre for its surrounding villages. The high street offers numerous shopping facilities including three supermarkets namely Sainsburys and Marks & Spencer Food Stores including a bustling market every Thursday.
 
Recreational facilities include a leisure complex incorporating a swimming pool, gymnasium, squash and tennis courts, an arts centre as well as restaurants, cafés, public houses and a library. There are also good healthcare provisions, with a village hospital, dental surgeries, health centre, physiotherapists, opticians and nursing homes in the near vicinity along with pet care. By car, Godalming lies 11 miles to the North West, Guildford 10 miles to the North West and Horsham 14 miles to the South East. Both Gatwick and Heathrow international airports are within an hours drive.
